West Lancashire Ramblers
The Ramblers promote walking in the countryside for health and pleasure, protects Britain's unique network of public paths, campaigns for increased access to open country, and protects the beauty of the countryside. West Lancashire Ramblers is one of the 450 local groups of the Ramblers. The local group has almost 200 members in the area which covers all of West Lancashire as shown on the map Our Walks
The West Lancashire Group of the Ramblers organizes walks both locally in West Lancashire and further afield in Lancashire and in other areas. Our walks are graded and vary between 5 to 12 miles. Numbers on walks are usually between 10 and 30 and range from young to old. Many of our members walk with us regularly while others do not walk with us but support the aims of the Ramblers and the Group.
You are welcome to join us on our walks before you decide if you want to become a member of the Ramblers. Please contact one of us if you require further information. Footpaths
The group tries to maintain the local footpaths by reporting footpath problems and monitoring changes to the footpath network. You too can help by reporting footpath problems to our footpath secretary or any of the group contacts. Alternatively you can contact the Local Authority Officer for Public Rights of Way.
